Find Five

Here's a little project...find 5 photos that you love.  If you have any blank scrapbook pages, paste them on and write a sentence about why you love each photo.

That's it!

I don't want you to decorate or embellish.  Just record what you remember about why you love those photos.  That's all there is to it.  You have one completed scrapbook page...enjoy it!

It's a hit!

Well, I gave the album to my parents as a belated anniversary gift.  It is filled with pictures of my sister and me from our "home from the hospital" photos to about the time we started school.  I posted a couple of pages from the album last week; if you want to see the whole thing, email me and I'll send you the link.  I must say, it turned out really well.  (except for one punctuation typo that I missed!!  All I can say is PROOFREAD, PROOFREAD, PROOFREAD!  And then ask someone else to proofread!)

Anyway, it brought back some very nice memories during what has been a very tough few months for my family.  We cried a little, and laughed a lot, which is always the best reaction someone can have to an album, I think.

And it was SIMPLE to complete.  I used only free templates from StoryBook Creator and it took a mere 3-4 hours to complete the whole book.  So when you're ready to start your own digital masterpiece, give me a call and I'll help you get started.

and I'll get back to you.

Happy digital scrapbooking!

Feelin' Groovy!

Oh, to be a child of the sixties...wait a minute, I AM!  As these outfits prove, my mom always made sure we were in fashion, and matching!  That was a big thing when I was growing up, sisters always had matching outfits, and sometimes we had outfits that coordinated with our mom's, too.  I don't see that anymore, and it seems a little crazy, but it was fun.  But maybe it was more fun because I was the older sister, so my sister had to wear the outfit twice as long, after I outgrew it and she had it as a hand-me-down.

But as the caption on the above scrapbook page shows, our inspiration was Marlo Thomas in "That Girl."  Honestly, nobody has EVER dressed as cool as she did!

Netflix a couple of seasons and you'll see.

And while you're at it, check out these red and white boots we are wearing!  The little red and blue ruffly caps and dresses were lovingly handmade by my Grandma Josie, who could do anything.  I don't remember if they were for any special occasion, but we thought they were great fun, and apparently they were a big hit, because there are LOTS of pictures of us wearing these outfits!

Okay, I'm going to go listen to "These Boots are Made for Walkin'" on my iPod!
