Feelin' Groovy!

Oh, to be a child of the sixties...wait a minute, I AM!  As these outfits prove, my mom always made sure we were in fashion, and matching!  That was a big thing when I was growing up, sisters always had matching outfits, and sometimes we had outfits that coordinated with our mom's, too.  I don't see that anymore, and it seems a little crazy, but it was fun.  But maybe it was more fun because I was the older sister, so my sister had to wear the outfit twice as long, after I outgrew it and she had it as a hand-me-down.

But as the caption on the above scrapbook page shows, our inspiration was Marlo Thomas in "That Girl."  Honestly, nobody has EVER dressed as cool as she did!

Netflix a couple of seasons and you'll see.

And while you're at it, check out these red and white boots we are wearing!  The little red and blue ruffly caps and dresses were lovingly handmade by my Grandma Josie, who could do anything.  I don't remember if they were for any special occasion, but we thought they were great fun, and apparently they were a big hit, because there are LOTS of pictures of us wearing these outfits!

Okay, I'm going to go listen to "These Boots are Made for Walkin'" on my iPod!
